Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment | Innovator Talks
— SATURDAY, APRIL 1ST, 2023 —
Room 203
10:45AM – 11:45AM MT
In this session, attendees will explore the secret ingredient that helps teachers improve student behavior and learning through better instruction: executive function. Simply stated, executive function is the way the brain processes information and makes decisions. Dr. Harvey Silver and Margaret Searle will highlight key findings from the research on how the brain’s executive function capacities can be used to enhance learning and, more importantly, introduce and model simple, practical tools that teachers can integrate into current lessons and units to capitalize on the power of executive function.
